Adriano Colle

An der Sutt 14, 87435 Kempten (Germany)

Adriano Colle belongs to the fifth-generation of a Gelato family. It was his great-great-grandfather, who first emigrated to Munich in 1958. Adriano has been running since 1999 with his wife Antonella and daughters Elisabetta and Elena the Eiscafé Venezia in Kempten, a mountain resort in Allgäu, Bavaria. No plastic is his motto and the exclusive use of cones and waffles cups for selling gelato is part of his environmentally friendly philosophy. His offer is a classic range of flavours enriched with exclusive rotating creations. The selection of ingredients, mostly of regional origin, combined with a long experience as a Gelato teacher is the basis of his innovative creations. His parlour is known for flavours with spice infusions, special processing of herbs and sprouts, for instance famous is ‘the squirrel's delicacies’ a quark flavour (a fresh cheese) with honey and spruce sprouts, or the particular bitter chocolate flavour with mountain pine; last but not least the lime ginger and lavender flavour. Adriano is an internationally renowned master and lecturer in gelato making at Carpigiani Gelato University. 2014, he won the 1st prize at the Gelato World Tour - Germany - with ‘Flavours of the Orient’, a yogurt flavour with cinnamon, variegated with a cream of chocolate, hazelnut and cardamom.
