Eiscafè Lazzara

Lazzara Marco

Bahnhofstr. 8, 78315 Radolfzell

Eiscafé Lazzara was founded in April 2009 in the small town of Radolfzell, nestled on the shores of Lake Constance in the South of Germany, at the border with Switzerland. The mind and heart of this gelato parlor is Marco Lazzara, who emigrated in 1990 from Sicily to Germany and married Lorena, the daughter of italian Gelatieri. Together with Lorena he took over the parlour of her parents and changed his profession. Originally he was a cook, but with that step, he decided to transfer his passion for cooking and love for his homeland into the art of artisanal gelato. His goal was and is still to amaze with flavors born from his creativity, to stand out for the originality of the combined ingredients and to offer an experience of innovative and genuine flavors, while respecting tradition. At the Eiscafé Lazzara you can rediscover the magic of the Sicilian cassata made according to tradition, let yourself be warmed by the intense flavor of a vegan dark chocolate that you won`t forget or try his “Crema Lazzara”,a triumph of spices that warm the heart and the taste buds.

Most recognisable for: The most famous creation of this parlour is the "Affogato" (= gelato in a cup of coffee) in a big range of variations. Further special flavors are those ispired by the sicilian bakery tradition, as "sicilian cassata" or "bianco mangiare" the sicilian white almond pudding.
