"Dolcevidda Iskremeri (literally ""sweet plateau"" in Norwegian) takes its name from the Hardangervidda plateau in Norway, located at the foot of which our idea was born. We are Italians who moved here 20 years ago, during which we developed an interest in the naturalness and, above all, the wild nature that surrounds us daily. We even have foxes and deer that come into our garden to eat, along with eagles, hawks, salmon, and trout that jump as if they’re waiting for a bus. In short, being here, we had to integrate ourselves in the best way possible. Appreciating the local products and making them amazing to our eyes was absolutely necessary to make them part of us, and that's how the idea was born. Hardanger is famous for its products, especially fruits, starting with apples (succulent, sweet, flavorful, and colorful varieties such as Discovery and Rubinstep), but also strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, other forest fruits, and plums. The pastures make sure that the cows have a beautiful environment, which results in milk that is rich and high in protein. The mountain, with a shortened season of only two months without snow, gives us a very special fruit, the ""multer"" (yellow raspberry), which is collected exclusively by the locals during a two-week period. It is extremely delicate, and if the weather turns unfavorable, the harvest is significantly reduced. The price of this fruit can reach up to 40 euros per kilogram and beyond"
Most recognisable for: "The dark chocolate made with artisanal chocolate from a local (km0) factory, Fjåk chocolate, is one of the most requested flavors. The pistachio from Bronte and Nordic Sea Salt (when available). The highly requested Hardanger apple sorbet, super natural (only 3 ingredients). The Vallavik raspberry (organic) or the fresh goat cheese from Haukeli, swirled with hand-picked mountain blueberries. Greek yogurt with Norwegian sea buckthorn."
